Sugar and other energy thieves

I have this picture in my head...looking into the future and hoping that in a couple of year's time we will look on 2010 and think : how could we put so much sugar, so many E-numbers and other chemically processed food into our bodies? I have a picture in my head that we all take leadership and become concious consumers and put pressure on food- manufacturers to stop all the sugar pouring over us.

Food food - glorious food

The past few days I have had an injection of positive inspiration from a Danish phenomenon called Kernesund familie http://www.kernesundfamilie.dk/ This is a family who changed their lifestyle and seem to have had a transformation that is kick-butt!!!! I wow them...

This comes at a time when I have been thinking a lot about food and what is offered to us in the stores, how well us as consumers have to me informed about what is out there...I also see that the western world is getting more and more interested in cooking, in Sweden one new cooking book is getting into the market EVERY day ....so people , we are interested , and people we get more aware also about the importance of trying to eat as local as possible...So the world is getting into a more and more awake conciousness about food...

Now there is sugar. This is the greates inspiration from Kernesund Familie in Denmark. Cutting out sugar. I want to do that to. I want to take it gradually as I am learning myself how to do it I want to give it to my family. I like for us to eat as much naturally sweet things as possible...

So...for this year I am aiming to bring my learning curve straight up regarding : sugarfree diet, GI- diet, raw food , local food....And on the way wishing to learn yummy recepies :-)

There is soooo much to say on the subject of food and so many voices : what do YOU have to say? What is your way with your family? Look forward to hearing from ya !

With lots of love and sunshine from my desk overlooking the Hillevåg harbour...nice crispy winter sun....Ice still on the lakes and fjord :-)
